What I could do with my commute time
The average time spent commuting annually for a resident of Los Angeles is seventy two hours, according to this page. If I conservatively estimate my one-way travel time to work as 45 minutes, I spend more than three hundred and sixty hours each year commuting.
With that time, I could listen to an audiobook of War and Peace at least five times through, or watch the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy almost fourty times over. That’s over nine work-weeks worth of time. Around ten thousand dollars worth of wages.
I am now thoroughly depressed. What could you do with your commute time?
