What I could do with my commute time
The average time spent commuting annually for a resident of Los Angeles is seventy two hours, according to this page. If I conservatively estimate my one-way travel time to work as 45 minutes, I spend more than three hundred and sixty hours each year commuting.
With that time, I could listen to an audiobook of War and Peace at least five times through, or watch the entire Lord of the Rings...
